What is CES? CES is the world's larges annual trade show for consumer electronics. This includes games, stereos, car electronics, computers, laptops, cellphones, and much much more. The world's largest annual trade show for consumer technology can't be just anywhere, it has to span several of the largest venues in the world, just to squeeze in. CES (Consumer Electronics Show), takes place annually in Las Vegas Nevada at 5-9 venues, with parties and special events located throughout the city. The primary exhibits are located in every hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center. More meeting rooms, conventions, keynotes, and various meet and greet sessions are held at the Las Vegas Hilton, Venetian Hotel, Sands Expo & Convention Center and other hotels depending on the year.
CES features thousands of international exhibitors, featuring the newest wares, to show off to nearly a quarter million folks in five days. With attendees from 140 out of the worlds countries, nearly 90% of the world is represented annually, often more. Retailers come to the show to negotiate deals for their stores inventory. Manufacturers bring their newest wares to secure orders from shops worldwide. Broadband developers, APP developers, software engineers, and electrical engineers prowl for the next thing to work on, or the next fix to their current problem at work. Content providers and creators, see the newest distribution hardware and play with the latest development software and hardware. Wireless carriers interface with their public, but the ones who code for their handsets. Generally it can be said that many of the top minds in the consumer electronics industry, from Movie House Executives, to the CEOs of Intel, Google, and ASUS have graced this massive industry show.
In addition, the annual CES computer electronic show, features some of the most influential Keynote speakers in the industry. These keynote presentations clearly telegraph the consumer electronics advertising campaigns you will see, as well as the technological innovations of the day. The first CES trade show took place in the summer of 1967 with a total of 200 exhibitors and approximately 17,500 attendees. Today the show is the largest consumer trade show in the Las Vegas area, and the 3rd largest in the world.
